Since the dawn of the sixth administration, South Africans have been observing a mantra of being “Thuma mina” which was a call that was made by the President Cyril Ramaphosa, in his inauguration address. There has not been a pertinent moment of heed the Thuma mina call as these difficult times, which has subjected the dire lack and suffering characteristics by the inability of people to meet their most basic needs, such as food.
Mbhashe business people heeded the call by the President as we know that the Covid- 19 pandemic continues to threaten the livelihoods and thus increase the impact of food security in the vulnerable communities of South Africa.
Nogoduka hardware will be donating food parcels to 20 destitute families at Ngxakaxa Administrative Area.

Mbhashe Celebrates the Home Coming of our own home grown Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi
Mbhashe community is overjoyed as they prepare for the home coming of their own home-grown Zozibini Tunzi , a South African model and beauty queen who was crowned Miss Universe 2019, a third woman from South Africa to win the title, and the first black woman since 2011.
The two fold celebration will start on Sunday evening, in the form of a closed gala dinner which will be held at the Village lodge at 18:00.
On Monday the 10 February, Tunzi will be addressing learners from surrounding schools in Dutywa, at Canaan SPS where she did her Primary classes, she will also be handing over hygiene packs to young school girls.
Her welcome celebration will be graced by MEC of Department of Sports Recreation Arts and Culture: Ms Fezeka Nkomonye’ – Bayeni, the Executive Mayor of Mbhashe Local Municipality, Honourable Cllr Samkelo Janda and Mbhashe Cllrs.
Admirers who wish to attend this home coming celebration are welcome to join us at the Open Field next to Excellence SSS at 10:00 on Monday
