I wish to inform you that the road to Elliotdale is completely damaged. If you are travelling from Elliotdale via Mqanduli you will definately meet a grave on the road, I imagine those people who are using that road coming from afar, it is really a devastating situation to travel in that road. Please guys those who are responsible must do their work
    Service delivery first, politics last

I’d like to know, what does it take for the municipality to maintain the district unpaved roads? Is there any traffic count that is regulary or there are people from the municipality who drive around the district to do an assesment for the roads? I’m asking this because the District road No.DR08034 running from N2 through Bolotwa Location to R61 at Ekondlo has been damaged since last year. There are many pondings on the roads and the top layer (assuming it’s an SSG) has been washed away from the road thus causing damage to our cars as the community. We battle to drive to town or even to catch a public transport. Is there any plan that the municipality can make to help in this situation.

In February 2011 I forwarded an appeal by the people of Ward 19 regarding the construction of road to Lubanzi Junior Secondary School. The letter was forwarded to Given who later confirmed that he received it. He stated that he was going to discuss this with the Municipal manager and will return back to me two weeks later. Up to date I have had no communication from Given. The sad part is everytime I call the office I am always told that given is not available. I always leave messages for him to call me back and this never happens. Can someone advise on what communication tools do we need to use to get any service from this municipality. Whenever you ask for a mobile phone nobody knows about it. I am starting to loose hope in this municipality and would seek an advise from Provincial/National government.

I have noticed that in Dutywa there is only 1, only 1 exit that is not tarred, and this exit leads to 1 of the tourist attractions and the many villages with a lot of taxpayers using this route.(The route from Dutywa to Dwesa) What can we do as the road users concerned to get this route tarred? And also is there a plan already in place to get this road tarred. This is enough, please do something.
